2010 Seattle Hempfest Map

Welcome Returning Vendors to Seattle Hempfest 2010! We have made quite a few changes from last year, so please read all of the information provided carefully. Seattle Hempfest is now a three day festival. Festival vending hours are now 12pm-8pm Friday, 10am-8pm Saturday and 10am-8pm Sunday. By purchasing a booth you are agreeing to maintain the festival hours listed for the duration of the festival.

Seattle Hempfest Vending is open for returning vendors as of February 1, 2010. If you are a returning vendor, please email vending2010@hempfest.org to let our team know if you will be returning to the same space as 2009. You will need to have your username and password from last year created when you purchased your booth online. If you do not have that information, please let us know in your email and someone from our team will find it for you.

Please note the online map has not been updated yet and may not reflect changes. The 2010 map will be posted before March 1, 2010.

To purchase a vending booth you must first create an account by clicking Register or Log In. You will not be able to view available booths unless you register or login.

Once you are login, navigate to the vending booth(s) that you want (see left menu), and then add the booth to your shopping cart and pay for it. Blanket vendors locations are numbered 1-99. The overall vendor map is on your right, but does not reflect 2010 changes.

Seattle Hempfest only accepts Visa or MasterCard, or debit cards with the Visa or MC Logo. If you would like to be on the mailing list, please use the Contact Us link to send a message to the Vending Crew, and we will notify you of any change in booth status.

***Please Note Change: Due to the increasing number of attendees and considering pedestrian traffic congestion occuring throughout the park, Seattle Hempfest will no longer offer strolling vendor passes.

Canopies and Tables
Seattle Hempfest does not provide tables, chairs or canopies for vendors. You can rent what you need through our vendor Grand Event Rentals. Please contact Kevin Rufert via phone at (425) 462-RENT (425-462-7368) or email at kevinr@grandevents.com. For more information please visit www.grandevents.com.

Vendors should be prepared for occasional windy conditions on the waterfront. Please secure your canopies with some form of weight system (i.e. sandbags, cinder blocks, water container). Vendors are also responsible for maintaining the space in and around their booth. We ask that everyone be respectful of each other when loading in and out of the park and to leave the area as clean as possible.

Blanket Spaces
Blanket vendor spaces are 6'x6'. Blanket Vendors are responsible for providing a 6'x6' blanket / table. Also you can shade your spot with an umbrella, or a small canopy with no walls that fits into the 6'x6' space. There are no vendor load in/out car passes for Blanket/Table vendors. We do advise that you protect yourself from the August sun, however, please be respectful of your neighbors as these spaces are close together.

Medicinal Patients
No dispensing or distributing any controlled substances whatsoever, including medicinal goods. Each patient is responsible for controlling his or her own medicine assuring that nothing gets in the hands of children who may mistake a medicinal cookie or brownie for a snack.

Active or Unauthorized Foods
Attention: Vendors selling active or unauthorized foods can be ejected without refund!

All food sold at Hempfest must be prepared in a Washington State approved kitchen, and must come from an authorized food booth. Any vendor who sells food in an unauthorized fashion can be immediately removed from Hempfest without refund of their vending fees and be permanently barred from future participation. Any attendee who sells unauthorized food may be ejected and have their goods confiscated.

There are health and safety concerns that govern Hempfest’s policy regarding unauthorized foods and we will aggressively enforce food vending rules at all times. Please be cool. Please help us keep Hempfest safe by learning and following our health and safety guidelines.

Cancellations
Vendors have until August 1, 2010 to cancel and get a full refund. Refunds will be processed and returned within 7 days. Seattle Hempfest reserves the right to refuse any application and to withdraw acceptance of any application under which circumstances. Seattle Hempfest also reserves the right to restrict or prohibit any activities determined by the Hempfest Staff to interfere with public access and/or event programming, or which will reflect poorly on the overall event.

Vendor Policies

  1. Washington UBI - You must have a Washington State UBI (universal business identifier) number. You can get a temporary UBI free of charge from the state Department of Revenue. If you participate in more than two events per year in Washington, you'll need a $15 business license. Please let us know if you need a temporary UBI so we can arrange to have one assigned to you.

  2. Trade Show License - You must purchase a $10 trade show license during the checkout process, unless you have a City of Seattle business license.

  3. 10% Park Tax - The City of Seattle and the Port of Seattle require that each vendor must pay 10% of gross sales or $10, whichever is greater for the privilege of vending in a public park. Seattle Hempfest is required by law to collect this tax on behalf of the city. We distribute the tax form at Hempfest, and vendors mail them in post-fest. Vendors who have not mailed in their tax payment will not be allowed to return to Hempfest until that payment is made.

  4. Load-in / Load-out Parking - The city of Seattle requires all vehicles have wood pads under their tires when parked in city parks. You will have the option to purchase a set of wood pads for your vehicle when you purchase a vendor booth on-line at hempfest.org. When you arrive the week of the festival, you can pick up your purchased wood pads at Vendor load-in.

If you choose not to purchase your wood pads when purchasing a vendor booth on-line, then you must bring your own wood pads for your vehicle. Wood pads must be 3/4" (or thicker) - one for each wheel. Each pad should be at least twice as wide and long as the area of the tire that contacts the ground. Vehicles without wood pads will not be allowed to enter the city park. Vehicles not parked on wood pads in the city park may be towed at the owner's expense.

Thank-you for your cooperation and support as we protect our public park and our ability to continually use it as the site of Seattle Hempfest!

  5. Unpackaged Foods - Unpackaged Foods are prohibited for sale or distribution at Seattle Hempfest.
