The most sophisticated, socially responsible, and politically oriented event of it's kind, Seattle Hempfest will feature over 150 specialty crafts and food vendors, musical support from over 30-world class acts, and present a comprehensive who's who of this nation's leading activists for Cannabis and Drug Policy Reform. Started in '91, Seattle Hempfest has been called "The granddaddy of hempfests" by Author Jack Herer, considered by most to be the granddaddy of the Hemp movement.

After last year's electoral victory with the overwhelming passage of I-692 (Washington State's Medical Marijuana Initiative), Hempfest 99 will use Industrial Hemp as it main theme, while continuing to advocate freedom for all Americans to benefit from the medicinal, agricultural, spiritual, and adult personal use of the Cannabis plant in all its forms. We also seek to break the record for food donations to support Northwest Harvest for a one-day event.
