The following guidelines and application are for the vending
of non-food merchandise at the 1998 Seattle Hempfest. As the
Seattle Hempfest is first and foremost a political event, priority
will be given to items utilizing the hemp plant, with other items
accepted on a limited/space available basis.
Vendors, if you have any questions or want more information, please contact us at hempfest@hemp.net.
The Process
Please read and agree to abide by the basic rules that follow, complete the application including business license details, sign and date the form indicating you have read and agree to follow the basic guidelines, enclose necessary funds and send it in. We will send the final load in packet to you in July, with booth location details and necessary passes.
If you will be on the road in July, please indicate alternate means for us to contact you.
The Details
- A standard 10 x 10 space is $150 before July 15th, $180 after July 15th.
- As the Hempfest takes place in a city park, the city of Seattle requires a fee of 10% of gross sales to be collected by the Hempfest at the close of the event. These funds are not part of your booth fee and do not go to the Hempfest. You must have a Seattle Business License or purchase a ‘One Event License".
- The Hempfest requires a processing fee of $10. This is non-refundable.
- The application deadline is August 1st. All fees are due with the application.
- Only items indicated on this application and approved may be sold at Hempfest. A new Washington State law prohibits the sale of products used for drug consumption. We regret to inform Seattle Hempfest 1998 vendors that Hempfest is forbidden by law to accept vendors selling drug paraphernalia. Please inquire for more details.
- If you must cancel, you may get a full refund if you cancel by August 15. No refunds after that.
- The event will begin at 10am and we ask that vendors be open from that time through 8pm. Load in will take place on Saturday Afternoon/evening and Sunday morning.
- ALL vehicles MUST be off the site by 9am on day of event.
- The Seattle Hempfest reserves the right to refuse any application and to withdraw acceptance of any application under which circumstances vendor’s booth fees will be refunded in full. The Seattle Hempfest reserves the right to restrict or prohibit any activities determined by the Hempfest staff to interfere with public access and/or event programming, or which will reflect poorly on the overall event.
